Everybody—and we mean everybody—likes pizza. Plus, everybody—and we mean everybody—likes fun socks. Which means, therefore, that everybody likes pizza socks. Based on that simple logic, we decided it was time to design another pair. We firmly believe that your sock drawer can never have enough pizza socks. In fact, we someday hope to have a separate sock drawer that’s solely dedicated to just pizza socks. But for now, we’ll focus on our newest pair, which is our cheesiest yet.
This year, Say it with a Sock is taking you on a trip around the world with socks. Every month, we’ll be sending our men’s sock of the month club and women’s sock of the month club subscribers a brand-new pair inspired by some of our favorite countries around the world. Last month, we traveled to l’Hexagone, a.k.a. France, and cozied up in cute croissant socks. This month, we’re taking you to Italy with ooey, gooey pizza socks! Now that’s amore.
If you’ve never been to Italy, it’s one of the easiest countries to spot on a map, because it’s shaped like a boot. Its flag is recognizable, too; the three colors represent hope (green), faith (white), and charity (red). Italy’s nickname is “Bel Paese,” which translates to “beautiful country.” Yes, the scenery is undeniably beautiful. But when we think of Italy, one thing comes to mind first: the food. Specifically, the pizza.
Pizza was invented in Napoli around 1860. 160 years later, it’s a worldwide phenomenon. Whether you prefer thin crust or thick crust, go light or heavy on the toppings, or cut your slices into triangles or squares, everybody loves pizza. Which is why everybody will love these pizza socks. The pizzas are just the right amount of cheesy and will make you smile every time you glance down at your feet. They might also make you hungry for a real pie, too. However you order your pizza, these socks are cozy any way you slice ‘em.
